Seascape Collection

This fluid painting collection honors my connection to the ocean.

When I was growing up in landlocked Missouri, the nearest ocean was an 18 hour drive away (and yes–my family DID make that drive in our hella trendy wood-paneled station wagon!) Because of this, the sea has always felt like a treasure to me, deserving my reverence.

Since I live just two hours away from the Atlantic now, I created many of these pieces at the seaside. The salty mist and crashing waves outside my window inspired me.

And when I couldn’t get to the ocean in person, I transported myself through art-making, pouring navy blues and turquoise hues onto my canvas in one fluid motion after another, just like the ebbing and flowing of the tide.
