Traditionally, the engagement ceremony is one of the first ceremonies that takes place between the two families of the bride and groom. Unlike my own engagement celebration- which consisted solely of changing my Facebook status and counting the “likes”- Puja and Rajpaul’s event included a limo, delicious food, and the exchanging of gifts and sweets in a forty-five minute ceremony and was followed by dinner. Puja’s family beautifully decorated her family’s home with colorful scarves and flowers which made for a great portrait backdrop!

Puja and Rajpual, thank you so much for inviting me to photograph your engagement ceremony. I really appreciated the warmth and humor of your family members, and tell your grandfather that I want to see his abundant iPad photos of the day!
