I am a photographer and multimedia storyteller living in Chapel Hill, N.C. I have produced award-winning multimedia projects as a photographer, videographer, audio journalist, copy editor, and Spanish translator. From the low-income housing section of a Wake Forest, N.C., neighborhood to an indigenous Yagan village near Antarctica, these local and international projects have nurtured in me a love for the journey and the people I meet along the way. I have won awards in various contests, including College Photographer of the Year, Hearst Journalism Awards Program, and Society for News Design.
Over the years I have learned that inspiration for my documentary work is fueled by relationships and an environment where I am free to grow and create. When not exploring the world through my camera lens, I enjoy having good conversations over coffee or in the woods, jamming at drum circles, singing with friends, slathering paint on blank surfaces, and dancing in my kitchen.
